This has been a stressful month. In addition to things mentioned below (funerals, moving, etc) I’ve been project lead for recabling my office network (250 drops) and also have to complete five (yes, five) Microsoft certification exams by April 30th. I passed three during the last couple of weeks (one this Wednesday) and have another today and yet another on Tuesday, the 30th. Very stressful. The reason for the urgency is that if I don’t have all 5 passed by April 30, I lose my Microsoft Certified Trainer status, which is my ticket to a whole different side of the tech industry that I’d be very interested in working in if I ever lost my job here at ChoicePoint.
Heather’s been stressed too, and we’ve decided to take a vacation very soon. I’m taking two weeks off in early May and we will be driving out to Chicago to visit my brother and sister-in-law in Batavia. Nothing like the road to make one feel away from it all, especially when putting miles every minute between you and what you’re weary of. Nathan and I will take on a brewing project or two and the familes should have a general good time. Any of my friends in that direction that would like to see me should let me know!
