Ok, sometimes something takes you by surprise: Surface.
Today I finished by third and final day of teaching a Microsoft Office SharePoint Server 2007 class. Very grueling work, very complex technology. I’m sure I spent more than 60 hours prepping for the 18 hours that I taught, and I still had some gaps. The lab environment I set up was complex. Between real and virtual servers, there were up to 42 systems in use at once in this class set up for eight students. I think next time I teach the course will be in September. Now I have to prep hard for a Vista administration course in a couple of weeks.
Going to church family camp this weekend with E, while the rest of the family are down in Whittier for a funeral. E’s had an ear infection and came to class with me all three days this week. At one point, on the second day, he raised his hand in the back while I was talking. When I asked him what he needed, he said, “I just wanted to tell you that I think you already explained what host headers were yesterday.” The class busted up.
E’s ear infection managed to rupture his eardrum, and for the last couple of days he’s basically had snot running out of his ear and down his neck. Very nasty. All to do is keep him clean and anagelised.
